NBC Moves Revolution on Fall Schedule

Posted on May 12, 2013 by admin in News

During season 1 of Revolution, the show had a prime spot – 10pm EST following ratings winner The Voice as a lead in.

According to E!, NBC has moved the show to Wednesday’s at 8pm EST.

In my opinion, this is not a great move.  The show loses it’s huge lead in with The Voice and it’ll be opposite Survivor, another ratings winner.

I’d love to hear your thoughts – hit the comments!

Revolution Says Goodbye to Wilmington

Posted on May 12, 2013 by admin in News

Revolution is packing its bags and heading to the lone star state to film season 2 of the hit show.  As suspected, the reason comes down to locations.  The show will be focusing on the southwest in the coming season and producers feel they have utilized the locales in North Carolina and need to go elsewhere.

The show was huge for Wilmington, North Carolina – employing 125 people full time.  As someone who lives where the show filmed, it was great seeing how they converted the port city into a post-blackout war zone.

I’m sad to see them go – but still look forward to the show’s return in Fall 2013.

Breaking News: Revolution Renewed for Season 2

NBC gave early renewals to several shows today, including Monday night drama Revolution!  The show received a full 22-episode season pick-up.  Congratulations to the cast, crew, fans and everyone associated with the show.  I can’t wait to see where season two will take us — including where the show will film.

The show spent season one filming in and around Wilmington, North Carolina.  There is a bit of a debate on TV and film tax incentives which could play a role in where the show films its next season.  Also at hand is whether the show utilized the most locations it could during season one and would be best served moving to another location for season two.

As a Wilmington resident, it’s my hope they’ll return here.  The city is so diverse and has such incredible landscapes that it could conceivably continue to film here.

Only time will tell.  In the meantime, we now know there WILL be a season 2.  Which is great news for fans!  Here’s the full article from Deadline for more details.

Don’t miss the next all-new episode of Revolution this Monday, May 29th at 10pm EST following The Voice.

Revolution Ratings Steady & Season 2 Speculation

Posted on April 23, 2013 by admin in News

Last night Revolution returned to NBC following a brief break the previous week when the show was pre-empted.  TV Guide shares the ratings figures:

Revolution held steady Monday after a week off the air.

The NBC drama, which was pre-empted last week for a Boston Marathon bombing special, drew 6.2 million viewers and a 2.2 in the adults 18-to-49 demographic, on par with its last episode two weeks ago.

There has been a lot of discussion about whether or not the show will receive a second season pick-up.  Unless a show is doing terribly and outright cancelled (hello, Ready to Love) – we typically don’t hear about series renewals until late April or May.

The only local news I’ve heard about the show is the question of if it would return to Wilmington if it does get a season 2 renewal.  The show has made use of several locations and landscapes since starting to film here in July 2012.  And the question lingers as to whether there is more to use here or if they could make use of another southern location, such as Atlanta.

I have my own thoughts and theories a second season for the series.  I hope it  is renewed.  But we’ll just have to wait and see!

Revolution Pre-Empted Monday April 15th

Posted on April 15, 2013 by admin in News

Due to the terrible tragedy in Boston, Revolution will be pre-empted tonight so that the station can do additional news coverage.

I don’t know at this time when tonight’s episode will air.  For the most up to date news, you can follow us on Twitter – @15darkyears.

My thoughts go out to those who were affected in today’s tragedy.
